Who's the poet?

My name is Isabelle Richard.

I was born and raised in Montreal, and have since lived and worked in multiple provinces in Canada.

​

The Poetry Post was an idea that came to me while lying on my back on the floor of my apartment. I had just finished mu yoga, and, my favourite pose Shavasana, was fruitful. Something about playing dead, it turns out, is a breeding ground for good ideas.

I was looking to share my poetry in a meaningful way. Snail mail seemed a sweet reminder of the gentle winds of words, of love.

My poems are about the simple things in life. When the world seems to spin faster than we can think - a little slice of living language can soothe the heart and mind.

​

So here we are, three years later. This poetry community is growing in size and in breadth. 

​

I now live in BC and ship across Canada and internationally, to countries including Japan, Australia and Bulgaria.
